Welcome to the Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the preeminent business association in Pakistan, established and officially recognized by the Government in 2004. This visionary endeavor was born out of the collective realization within the Sahiwal District's business community, acknowledging the need for a dedicated Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The formidable task of establishment was entrusted to Ch. Safdar Rashid, a seasoned figure in the trade and industry sectors, who graciously offered his services to lead this transformative initiative. Over the course of four years, fueled by unwavering dedication and significant contributions from key figures such as Ch. Nouraiz Shakoor, the former Federal Minister, and Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik, former President FPCCI Co-Chairman Business Panel Pakistan-USA, the Chamber secured a License from the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan.
Following its formal incorporation with the Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan under the Companies Ordinance 1984, the Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce & Industry proudly affiliated itself with the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The historic announcement of its establishment was made during a press conference on 19-11-2004, led by Ch. Nauraiz Shakoor Khan, the Ex. Federal Minister for Science & Technology.
In the aftermath of this momentous announcement, an emergent meeting of Sponsors/Directors was convened, culminating in the unanimous selection of Chaudhry Safdar Rashid as the inaugural President. Since then, the Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce & Industry has evolved into a dynamic force, serving over 3500 members, ranging from large-scale manufacturers to thriving home-based enterprises.
Our chamber has played a pivotal role in fostering the growth of commercial, industrial, and economic activities within the region. Affiliated with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, itself a member of the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we continue to stand at the forefront of driving progress and prosperity in Sahiwal and beyond.
